For more than 50 years Brimar has continually pioneered advances in the design, manufacture and support of components and associated electronics into customer specific display systems. Today these include both cathode ray tube (CRT) and active matrix liquid crystal display (AMLCD) rugged displays.

Brimar’s unique position as a complete display solutions resource ensures a rapid response to any requirement detailed by our customers, with absolute control over quality and performance. As the World's only specialist CRT manufacturer with the resources to implement all research, design and production in-house, Brimar systems are not only guaranteed upon installation, but can be supported and maintained throughout the working life of their host equipment.

Experience of CRT manufacturing processes has proved invaluable to Field Emission Display (FED) development as many of the processes can be applied to the manufacturing of FED packages. Using advanced phosphor deposition techniques, both high and low voltage screens can be manufactured. The experience and resources of Brimar Technology in the selection and screening of phosphors are available to FED groups for the development of sealed-off devices and prototypes.

The Technology Group within Brimar is in a position to offer support in a range of areas such as frit sealing, vacuum pumping, sealing-off and the application of getter technology. Brimar has recently worked on the development of a planar electrode-less lamp for use in liquid crystal display (LCD) backlighting, and is able to apply various technologies for the development of backlights for customer specific applications.
